The main ingredient in Sculptra® is Poly-L-lactic Acid (PLLA), a biocompatible substance that has been safely used in medicine for decades. Typically 3 sessions are needed with one or two vials per treatment depending on the condition of the skin, spaced 6 weeks apart. Results are gradual, appearing over 6–12 weeks as collagen builds and results can last up to 2 years or more, depending on the individual.
